Colt Resurrecting the Python?

I believe that David Soul’s character, in the TV documentary “Starsky and Hutch”, carried a Python. Though Starsky’s “Beretta” looked an awful lot like a S&W model 59

Er, uh, not that I ever watched “Spastic and Hatch” or “Starter and Clutch”.

Starsky and Hutch was my favorite show until The Shield came out. Other that the pilot, Hutch’s main gun was a Python, a 4” for the first couple episodes, then switched to a 6” for the remainder of the series. Starsky did carry a S&W Model 59 after the pilot.

The pilot had Starsky with a 1911, and Hutch with some 2” snub, maybe a model 10? That was the episode where they referred to Starsky’s gun as a Beretta.

Back on topic, am I the only one secretly hoping Colt will follow this up with a 3” Python???

Unless they were planning to finance their retirement with Pythons, I don't see anyone shooting themselves over this. Enron looked good, until it didn't. Past performance is never a guarantee of future returns and all that.

I've got to say, I really didn't think Colt would do this, but I want one. If they make a 2.5", I'll buy one of those as well.
