I give a bit of background here: https://pistol-forum.com/showthread....l=1#post783580
But basically, it's a 'Raw Handle' Opinel No. 9 - https://www.opinel-usa.com/pocket-kn...d-carbon-steel - That I cut down the blade to be Chicago-legal (2.5") and then chopped and shaped the handle to optimize it for reverse edge grips. Then, because I'm lame, I torched the handle for color and acid etched the blade. The whole idea, was to make an inconspicuous-type knife, that looks kind of like something grandpa would carry, but it locks up tightly, can be used reverse edge, and with a sheath (kydex or field expedient) can be pressed into service as a pseudo-fixed blade.
So far it's working pretty well. A couple of my coworkers have seen the knife now and haven't paid any attention to it vs. my Spyderco P'Kal that got attention from colleagues before. For 15 bucks and an evening's worth of work using a Dremel I figured it was worth a shot. Seems to be working.
I am really liking the DSG Koala. I like being able to carry a G17 reload and having it ride identically to a G19 reload.
