I don't remember if we've had any of Capandball's video in this thread but I doubt anyone here would complain about seeing another one. Here he takes his Uberti 1873 in .44-40 on a deer hunt in some beautiful Hungarian woods. He's got a good number of great hunting videos along side lots of really good black powder shooting videos. A wonderful channel if you enjoy old guns loaded with holy black.

    I can pee outside.
I'm so wanting that all in one reloading tool.
Do you have a source for it in 45colt?

Apparently it's called an Ideal tool. He talks about it more here and goes through the whole process.

Those Ideal tools are old skool cool. I’ve been eying a couple of them on flea bay for 25-20 but other than size, they really don’t do anything my Lee Tool can’t.

Another tool is the Lyman 310 but I don’t remember if it’s an all in one tool like the Ideal or just a loading tool.

The Ideal tool was re-named the 310 after Lyman bought what had been the Ideal line, and was essentially the same product.

When I was fooling with the old stuff and repros, I actually got better accuracy from reloads made on my Lee Loader, but thought the "tong tool" was cooler... because "history" and all that. Neither one was fast, but one of the beauties of single shots is that it doesn't matter as much.

Thanks, I don't think I ever dug into them deep enough to learn that.

A lot of this stuff was still floating around when I was at an impressionable age, and not many of the local "gun guys" thought post-frontier reloading equipment was worth very much at that time... people who would not let a kid fiddle too much with their new RCBS Rockchuckers generally didn't care if said kid got his grubby hands on a Lyman 310 or a clapped-out Ideal tong tool.

In the proto-levergun category, does anyone here have experience with any of the Spencer repros? I don't do much rifle shooting anymore but every so often I get the urge for a Spencer in a non-original caliber.
