I shot my SW 1911Sc Commander. Wasn't really happy with my performance. As a left I shoot towards the right when I don't control my grip. It is a known flaw and it resurfaced with this gun. I hadn't shot it for a year, so I need to work on that. Also, it failed to seat a mag twice, with it dropping out and me looking like a doofus. Was it the mag, the gun, I tend to seat firmly. I have to explore that. Iron sights on the gun.
On the positive side, I hit the targets, could have used a few more A's but that's life. I have no problem with the recoil of WWW 230 gr FMJ from the gun. My hand strength is decent. I enjoy the push and boom of a 45 ACP. Feels like you really shot something as compared to a 9 mm.
Side notes - one guy was shooting a AR style 9 mm PC and running both a green laser and an RDS at the same time. I asked him why and he said it was that with close in targets or lefty ones, he doesn't even use sights, just watches the green dot. Never saw that before.
It was a little chilly today. Winter is Coming.
Fun time - got some fine take out fish dinners on the way home for me and wifey.
