Still going through these, but this by Todd Green himself may be the key:
It's critically important that your finger never stop moving from the beginning of the press until the gun goes off. The movement should be consistent without "steps" or stops. The fact that you began "with the slack out" suggests to me that you're still trying to use it like a SAO gun with long pre-travel, and that's doomed to failure.

While I was shooting on Saturday, I was experimenting with different ways of running the trigger. When I shoot next, I'll try only running it as TLG advised back then, and just do one consistent trigger stroke rather than hitting the wall and then treating it like a single action trigger. Dry practicing right now, I see that I need to figure out the right amount of force to roll right through the wall without stopping, without too much force throwing the sights off.

I'm hoping/planning to go back to the range on Tuesday. I have a case of Speer Lawman arriving tomorrow.

Been so long since I've shot LEM that I don't think that I am in a position to advice on it, if I ever was. All that I can say is that treating it like a DA pull and trying to roll through didn't work that well for me.

Did you find anything that helped at all? Maybe not with getting fast splits, but consistent accuracy?

Thinking of it as a striker or SAO with a long pretravel helped me the most. Because follow-up shot pretravel is actively controlled by the shooter, I found that LEM benefitted from more frequent, even if short, live practices more so than other triggers.

I saw that on Lipsey’s yesterday, and assumed it was old news.

I treat the LEM like a DAO K Frame.
