They didnt change the threads. Ive swapped others between pinned and non.

The only part thats a pain is if you put a non-pinned barrel on a pinned frame and drilling it for the pin without messing up the frame. Most seem to index pretty well so far, only one that didnt torque up snug enough, it needs the shoulder set back.

Super interesting N frame I won on GB.

This is a 520 that apparently was built outside of the original NYSP order and shipped in 1983. Roy Jinks in his letter that came with the gun says he believes this was built on a Model 58 frame which is corroborated by the overstrike of 520 being in a different font.

Not sure how many of these there are but it’s fun getting the boomers worked up on the blue forum over this, as no one apparently knows anything about them and only this one and one other has surfaced so far.

    Thanks buddy I'm chuffed!

When I was bidding on it, I just thought of it as being a nice example for my collection, but the "58/520 overstrike" may actually turn out to be something rare.

No one seems to know anything about them as far as how many of these are in the wild.

28-2. I tried service grips, but they’re too wide at the bottom. So I went with these Pachs and carved away where they widen at the bottom.

In a JMCK AIWB holster. Maybe not great under a t-shirt, but it works under a medium-wight sweatshirt. (Paging @Tony Mayer )

    Thank you ma’am.

I thought of you the other day as I noticed an auction for a Pre 28 Highway Patrolman.

Actually there are a couple more right now going on GB.

    One more.

Pre Model 27 5 screw from 1953 with proud pins. This one is wearing a pair of custom English Walnut short Roper style grips made by Curtis Harlow that fit my hand PERFECTLY.
