    Doorbell Security...

Mods, please remove this or move this where it my belong better (Mindset/Tactics?).

My buddy's brother invented this, was on Shark Tank back in Nov of 2013 and I think it's an awesome way to secure your home. I'd also like to hear your critiques on a system like this.

    Ding-dong!

    Who’s there?

When someone is at your door, you don’t know who they are until you check the peephole, or a pricey security system. If you’re not at home, you may never know.

But what if your doorbell could talk? Two gadgets have turned the humble doorbell, little changed since the Victorian era, into a digital doorman.

I remember seeing that on Shark Tank.
    How is business?

    Seemed like a solid idea.

Pretty cool idea. With a couple cameras to watch the backyard and the dog and you've got a pretty basic and effective security system

It records everything to the cloud and soon it will have zonal motion detection in a future firmware update. Great for BGs casing your home. One on the front and one on the back and you're GTG.

Seems like a great product and I'll probably take two if I get a "yes" to the question of whether it can still use the battery as a backup while being hardwired to the existing doorbell. Awaiting a reply to my email to them.

Good question and I can't recall the answer. If I get the answer first, I'll post it here. Don't buy it until I get an answer on the group buy. I just cross posted on HKPRO and TPI.

ETA: My buddy is calling his brother now. Please hold and enjoy the rest of the forum while I handle your request ;p
