Since I searched and did not find an "official" glock picture thread, figured I'd start one...

The FDE slide gun gets carried a lot and shot not a lot as it's already been vetted (~3500 rounds). The black slide gun is my practice/backup gun. Both guns are set up almost identically:
- APEX FRE
- Reversed mag catch
- Grip Force Adapter
- Butt plug
- Trijicon HDs in orange
- 3M tape
- Slight undercut on trigger guard
The practice gun still has a Vickers slide stop, but the one on my carry gun proved unreliable. Eventually I'll buy an OEM slide stop for the practice gun. Also on my to-buy list is a pair of G17 smooth triggers.

The way Damon (SSVI, LLC) did the stippling underneath the beavertail is completely for aesthetics. It is almost completely smooth to the touch. The rest of the stippling is far more aggressive.
The trigger is the Agency Arms drop-in. I'm digging it very much.
The ZEV "slim" magwell will only be used for matches. I'm planning on picking up one of the Agency Arms low profile magwells once they release theirs for the Gen4 G17.

My "around the house" gun is a Gen-4 17. It's been de-finger grooved, undercut, a small amount of stippling, and is wearing the same sights and trigger as my EDC gun. It also acts as my back up gun for classes.
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee95/ceelfi/my%20edc%204.jpg
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee95/ceelfi/classstuff.jpg
I also have a 19 that's set up identically to the EDC 17 and a 34 that's wearing Warren Tactical sights. They've both been in the safe for quite some time.....I'll try to get them out and snap some pics in the next few days.
My 19, which is set up identically to the chopped 17. As you may be able to tell, this was my first attempt at stippling, it's about the ugliest damned thing I've ever seen.......but it worked.
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee95/ceelfi/my%20edc%206.jpg
My 34, it's wearing de-horned Warren Tactical sights, FO front and has a stock 34 trigger that's been through the 25 cent trigger job. It's also wearing the extended slide release which is there for the very valid reason of.......I just haven't gotten around to changing it yet. :)
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee95/ceelfi/my%20edc%208.jpg
It would be neat to have a 17L and a 26 just to round out the collection, but they'd never get shot, so unless I get them as gifts, I don't ever see myself picking either one of them up.

I did all the grip work myself. It is the first and only one I've ever done. Practiced on some P-Mags and the extra backstraps that came with the gun for a while before I took the plung. The half moon cuts were fairly simple I just found a washer the size i wanted the cuts to be measured the placement and marked it up.

I used a cutting tip for the outline (just an xacto knife tip that gets hot basically) and a fine tip for the stippling.

Thanks guys! I owe it to Roland as he is known, he is the one who the concept and original was born from. It's a sweet pistol. Other than the slide work etc, it has a factory smooth face trigger, minus connector, and extended slide release. I can't wait to get some more range the me with it. I've also got a AIWB holster from Tony at JM custom kydex (ala Doc Roberts), and a Raven owb rig ordered just waiting on completion. Here's one more photo just for giggles ;)

Ok, pic thread if appropriate please move elsewhere but I can't help but notice the comp makes it the same size a (19 grip reduction'd) 34.
I've only shot a couple open guns. I don't shoot open. Most people say in order to actually maximize teh comp you need a lot of gas. Much more than a regular factory 9mm round provides.
If you shoot them side by side does the compensated 19 have less recoil than the 34? This would surprise me, as I've been VERY surprised how much less recoil a 35 has than a 22. Stretch that out to a 24 and it feels like a 9mm.
Anyway, I can only imagine the comp'd 19 shoots at best like the 34. Add a ported barrel to go with the open slide and it seems like adding a threaded barrel and comp is more expensive than just going with a 34 to start with.
What's the idea? Especially since the 34MOS is now available. I don't understand what this offers compared to a 34 or a ported 34.

DocGKR posted a good thread about it here:https://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?15857-G19-with-RMR06-and-KKM-compensator
For irons the G34 is king to me because of the increased sight radius and soft shooting. With a RDS mounted sight radius is less important. So therefore by going to a 19 and adding a comp, you get a shorter more concealable frame and reduced recoil with a slide no longer than a 34 without a top cutout. Also the MOS glocks cut out for the RDS are not as deep or well done as getting it done by ATEi who did my slide. Doug of ATEi requires the RMR that's being mounted to be sent with the slide as each has slightly different tolerances and he machines the slide based on your RMRs specs/tolerances.
Old pic of my 17, since it is a Glock picture thread.

VDM why did you go with a S3F solutions over a Gemtech barrel? I decided on the surefire suppressor in 9 and I kind of just said looks like I am paying surefire prices since my simple logic is surefire uses surefire/zevtech barrels for their suppressors might as well use those but, how much of a difference is it like with a kkm barrel since those are king.
Feels odd paying less for a HK barrel than a Glock barrel...

I will probably end up going with a gemtech barrel down the road, nothing is written in stone and once I effectively use and review the s3f ill move on.

I am going to be following this closely. Cannot wait for the review to roll our. I have a Glock 19 slide to convert my g23 rtf2 to a suppressor host. Just debating on barrel.
I will tell you that you should get the best "match" branded barrel you can find, other than that you shouldn't put too much thought into it. I can say without hesitation that I have had pretty good experience with the s3f barrel over the OEM barrel in terms of accuracy and would buy another one right away. Ultimately the cream of the crop is the barsto I have and I would buy a threaded one if I really wanted something that was "the best" in all measurement, but you can buy 2 s3f barrels for the price of one barsto, so you need to make your own mind up there.

I agree, but of course, it will have to go through a vetting process and all that.
I'll be running it for a big on a 17 and see how it works out.

I'll definitely be looking out for updates on that. I've never shot a pistol equipped with a RDS, but that seems like it solves the iron sight co-witnessing issue.
Have you done any shooting with just the irons? Looks like it would be very hard to place accurate shots in a timely manner.

I shot about a hundred rounds at the range getting it zero'd and doing some random shooting.
I can put about a 5 inch group at 25yards with just the irons and around a 2 inch group with the dot, obviously the dot is more accurate....
http://i.imgur.com/C0VDvIb.jpg
That was a 3x5 index card at 25 yards, starting from high ready, 2 seconds 5 shots.
So it's pretty accurate, I doubt i'll ever carry it though.

So far so good, no zero walk, no issues otherwise that can be attributed to the RBU itself. I'm waiting to see how long the RM06 can stay on before it dies in "auto" mode.

When the slide moves to the rear while cycling, it appears as though the ejection port will clear the mount entirely.

There are a lot issues to overcome for a quick release or attachment system. Specifically since it may not hold zero properly. On top of all that, there are some good solutions out there that arent permanent, like the 6sec mount and the dueck defense rbu.

I'm out of practice but pleased had to break in one of my carry guns after having the slide Cerakoted. Sellier and Bellot ammo is the most consistent practice ammo there is IME and I probably would have done better with a slightly lighter trigger. I'm going to experiment with a factory minus or Taran Tactical to try and get the trigger around 5 pounds.

I learned to shoot on a Gen. 2 Glock, and I've always been a big fan of them ever since. In late 2010, after years of searching, I managed to find an unfired Gen. 2 G17. Since then I've been searching for a NIB G19, but pretty much figured it was never going to happen, and if it did, there's no way it would be worth it given the scalper's prices that beater Gen. 2 G19s are going for on GunBroker.
On Wednesday I just happened across this on GB an hour after it posted. A guy out in Redondo Beach had been buying guns as investments, including this one, and it had just sat around for 20 years, and was never fired or carried. The buy it now price was only $25 over what a new Gen. 4 is going for locally, so how could I pass that up?
Just got it today--it's clear that it really never was fired. There was still some of the copper grease in it, although it was pretty dried up on the slide. Gave it a quick clean and lube, and looking forward to running it soon!

I run and will continue to run iron sights all the time. I do not see it being law enforcement level mainstream for some time but I assume itll get there eventually.
It is a good option for those who want their pistol to do very specific things. Speed, however, is something that it still lacks.

I think I posted about this before somewhere. Short answer is that when drawing and shooting very quickly, at least for me and others I train with, an RMR is very difficult to pick up on the draw. Unlike an iron sight, which can be picked up in your peripheral vision as you are presenting it forward.

The irons don't have to be utilized as only a backup option, they can also aid in picking up the dot assuming there is a co-witness.

I've played with that concept, except the irons are taller, which does not translate over well to the tens of thousands of reps I've done with normal height sights. As I've stated in other threads, it required me to do a lot more reps for a system I was not going to carry. My time is better spent on other things.

We did a lot of drill setups and that required downloading or loading mags, magpul worked fine it just required complete download.
The ets mags work the same and are only a few bucks more.

Counting was easier with the ets mags as you could not see how many rounds were in the magpul mags.

Thanks. Yeah, It's a grey frame, I think from a Lipseys run.

Thanks! They came out sometime last year. Amchar is a distributor who did the run. I was planning to wait and see if Glock released a Gen 5 but got impatient and figured you can't have too many G17's right? Lol! They (BFG G17's) are also showing up in a certain federal agency's SWAT teams holsters as they replace the 1911.

Probably a real stupid question - is this your first G19? IOW, did you have a Gen2/3 previously - and, if you did, how would you rate them?

Damn those are gorgeous. Is the OD the same color as the original gen 3 ODs? I didn't know they made them! Looks great!

Thanks for the heads up. That's about standard pricing so most places will sell that blue label.

I've been interested in the Sidecar but haven't got one yet since there isn't a ton of quality reviews on them.
Are you using any type of foam wedge near the muzzle to tip things closer to your body or do you think it doesn't need it?
Do you think if the mag sat lower in the holster it would conceal better? Looks like it sits really high.

I recently bought one and plan on doing a review. I had to send it back because of an issue with it. I only got to try it for a day or two so far. Their customer service is interesting to say the least. I can definitely say that it doesn't conceal well. My other holsters are a shaggy and jm custom.
There aren't any quality reviews out there. It's huge on Instagram so I bought one to find out if it's good gear or not. I'll post a review in a month or so once I get carry time with it.
Don't waste your money.
Curious why you say that?

Yeah their website has lots of pics of the owner concealing a Glock in a Sidecar wearing only a snug t-shirt and doing all sorts of maneuvers. He's a pretty skinny guy though, maybe the Sidecar fits well in the space between his hip bones. The Sidecar concept always sounded like a good idea to me but the price and lack of reviews have made me hesitate. On a whim I inquired with T-Rex about getting a loaner Sidecar to try before I bought one but they said they didn't have one available because they were struggling to keep up with demand. Figured it was worth a shot.
firefighterguy,
I'd definitely be interested in your review. Is it the gun, the mag, or the whole package that doesn't conceal well for you?
FYI...Knowledge Skills Gear makes one called the Velox.

There is just a lot of issues with it.
Faulty premise (double handed "I give up position" draw stroke), based on square range bullshit and not real life requirements. Concealability is VERY suspect. Those clips? Yeah, no.
A buddy of mine bought one just to try it out, his summary of experience was "if you take a two pack of steaks and duct tape them to the front of your stomach, IWB, that's basically what it feels like all the time."
I'd almost want to try one just to show on video how horrible the design is.

I got it to try the concept. I wanna glue a piece of 1/8" poron to the back for comfort. I still have my VG3 and Phlster. Too bad my PerSec SPEAR won't be here in time for The Yeti's class.

I don't want to comment on it too much because my time wearing it is under ten hrs because I had to send it back. But when I wore it with a gun belt it literally looked like I stuffed a text book in my pants. I wore a very loose floppy belt and it helped a lot. The clip placement directly on the magazine seems to be a poor design. It prints horribly. But give me some time to play with it and I may be able to correct it. The holster is all about speed. So you are going to sacrifice concealability and i knew that.
