Thread: Dark Star AIWB

    Dark Star AIWB

Just received a new appendix holster from Tom at Dark Star. It is fast, trim and conceals the Glock 17 very well. Joins the Keeper and Shaggy as my favorite appendix holsters. Photos follow:

I'll have to post some pics this weekend of mine. I have a Dark Star AIWB made for my S&W Shield and have worn it for most of the summer. I am very pleased. I haven't tried one for a full size gun yet but would like to.

I can't compare apples to apples with JM or other holsters I've tried as I don't have them for the same guns. I have owned a JM for a M&P9c and the DSG for the Shield and both were very comparable in how they felt, carried, and concealed. Both were excellent.

The website mentions some way to adjust the butt tuck - what does this consist of?

I have a prototype for my SIRT, been working great for the week I've had it. Personal favorite is the loop material, it's very grippy and does not move/slide around. On mine it is set up with fixed soft loops without pulldots. I like the set up.

Volgrad...is your AIWB for your shield tuckable? I thought I remember seeing a thread about it but I can't remember. I was looking for a good tuckable solution for the shield....there are no pictures on the website...so sad.

Not tuckable. That would be great but not sure how that would be accomplished and not make it as cumbersome as a full size pistol.
