1970 manufacture date. A little holster wear at the muzzle and the leading edge of the cylinder, but shines like a diamond in a goat's back side. I've got the original grips as well, but need a grip screw to install them.

"87th Precinct" style!!
I wish I had a grip screw to send you so we could see it without the rubber.

True story, had an old timer sgt who carried one of these mexican carry appendix. I asked him once if he kept all the chambers full, he asked me if I was retarded, because only a retard would carry a hot gun pointing directed at his dick.
Did I mention I always enjoy old timer humor?

I like the Pachmayr grips. They are the best grips available for this gun.
If you must have wood, take a look at Eagle's Secret Service grips. Make sure they know to include a speedloader cut.

I guess if you are an FBI agent, a much lighter alternative is the Colt Agent. Weight is 16 oz empty. Mine was made in 1974.
That looks just like the one I had for a few years. Wooden grips were cracked and stained. I kept them, but carried and shot it with a Hogue mono grip. 1970, also. Decided I was a S&W man after all, and sold it for 2x what I had in it.
Sure was pretty, though.
