Are there no mirrors in the Transylvania County building? Are the commissioners only seen when the sun goes down? Is the preferred method of execution death by impalement? Is it illegal to grow garlic?
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

If you read the thread, he's from Mt. Airy, (Mayberry), and complaining about me referring to Brevard loosely as "Mayberry". It was meant as a poke in the ribs. We're just having a bit of fun with one another.

Besides, you don't think I'm gonna take an outsider to the good spots, do you?

When I was a kid I lived near Frances Bavier (Aunt Bee) .

She had a reputation for being a very prim and proper New York actress. Not a southern Belle by any means.

    Them's fighting words.

    To your original point though:

There's a lot of that going on in liberalville.

" Why do police need AR 15 's? Why do police need a swat team? Can't we Just just go around with unloaded revolvers or uncle Joe's double barrel ?"
My thoughts exactly. And that I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of that happening so nearby.

Except it wasn’t actually “Mayberry”, so it makes more sense now.
You can get much more of what you want with a kind word and a gun, than with a kind word alone.

I lived in Winston-Salem for a while. I was prepared to offer conflict resolution counseling, but I see that the situation has been resolved.

Winston-Salem was about forty miles from our farm and was the big place everyone from home went for shopping and advanced medical care. My aunt lived near the Country Club Road/Silas Creek Parkway area.
We would pick her up and eat at the K&W Cafeteria on Knollwood Street.
    Great fried chicken.
    Wonderful memories.
