TL;DW: It’s pretty much the 1-6 with MOAR POWER!!1! Eye box, FOV and all those characteristics are comparable. Solid option for larger “gas guns.” Not ideal for a general purpose carbine for reasons he didn’t explain.

My no experience take: I hope this paves the way for a 16-18 oz Gen III 1-6 PST/Razor line.

Just a reminder, be gentle with Vortex tubes on the torque. A lot of these will be hitting excited wee hands in a few months. Remember, 11 inch-pounds of torque MAX if you use a threadlocker.

I just hope the top end full gets good light. With that objective size it's going to be harder for sure but I guess that's why it's $2500 optic not a $800 one.

Really? Most mounts I use specify 20-25 in/lb torque.

    Direct from the Vortex manual.

    NOTE: Vortex Optics recommends not
    exceeding 18 in./lbs. (inch/pounds)
of torque on the ring screws, and not
exceeding 35 in./lbs. on the base
screws. If using something other than
a Vortex® mount, verify torque from
    manufacturer specifications. DO NOT
use a thread locking compound on
    the threads. Thread locking agents
    lubricate the threads, which can
increase the applied torque. If thread
locker is used on the threads, do not
exceed 11 in./lbs. on the ring screws.

MSRP of $2,899 if I read that right. Spendy.
