New U.S. Army Pistol Manual TC 3-23.35

Great stuff from Ash Hess and his team at Ft Benning.

I especially like Appendix B's explanation of ballistics and the importance of targeting vital structures in stopping opponents with a handgun.

Boss is going to get pissed at me when I finish printing it.

Though it is a .mil printer (I'm a DAC with no "official" reason for it)

Wow, that is some good stuff. Discusses wobble, provides several ways to defeat the safety which should work for various hand sizes. Honestly, probably a good read for everyone getting their first pistol.

It also includes mention of Timers and Switches, which I first saw mentioned in Sayoc material. Has that terminology been used elsewhere?

It comes from Kyle DeFoor who assisted Sgt. Hess with material for the recently released Rifle manual which proceeded this one. Both share common concepts such as the shot process etc.

Ten years ago or so Tigerswan taught Triggers and Switches.

I believe DeFoor was taught for tigerswan between Blackwater and going out on his own.

Yup. It was part of the curriculum as of 2010. Glad to see it incorporated into the manual, finally.

That's an extremely well done manual. Anyone else notice the irony that it was published AFTER the Army announced it's dumping the M9 for the XM17?
