    Strider DB now a Unicorn?

    After reading this thread:

    https://pistol-forum.com/showthread....-Tac-Unit-Guys

I started looking into a Strider DB (bows in the direction of DB), but it looks like the original sized DB's (not the DB-L's) aren't available anywhere any more. I also heard some talk about Strider Knives not existing any more.

Are the Strider DB's a unicorn now?

I just picked up a Strider DUB from Monkey Edge at retail like everyone else. Absolutely love it. I would contact both Monkey Edge and Bluelinegear for an update on future orders.
Just a Hairy Special Snowflake supply clerk with no field experience, shooting an Asymetric carbine as a Try Hard. Snarky and easily butt hurt. Favorite animal is the Cape Buffalo....likely indicative of a personality disorder.

As DB notes, Monkey Edge gets them fairly often, usually in 3V. Ryan at BLG as well.

As far as I know, Strider is still in business just without Mick and Duane.

My Strider DUB was marked M. Strider, so I think Mick is back running that side. I ll try to check.

"Strider Knives" is no longer in business, but Mick is still making many of the "Strider legacy knives" under Mick Strider Custom Knives. This is why DB's DUB is marked with M. Strider, which has been Mick's custom moniker mark for years. All the Legacy stuff (SnG, SMF, DB) that Mick has done recently is marked the same.

Basically, Mick and Duane parted ways, in doing so they closed Strider Knives and now work their own brands/shops.

They’re definitely unicorns as are most Strider fixed blades. I just picked up a DUB on bladeforums because I’m not sure when they’ll be made again and I hadn’t had any offers on a DB. I paid more than retail but I feel pretty good about it. Sounds like a nice compromise of cut and pound type knife.
