Possibly because the sight is narrower - the CHPWS RMR plate has side “wings.”

I’d also like to know, I’ve been right on the razor edge of getting a Gen 5 .40 but I’m stuck on 23 vs 22.

Is anyone making 9mm conversion barrels for them?
I’ve never run an aftermarket barrel in a Glock so I’m not sure. I’d defer to GJM who appears to be the resident G23G5 pro so far.

Dude I have this odd desire to carry a Gen 5 Glock 22 in a leather thumb break holster. Where did it come from? I don’t know, but I’ve ate more French fries in Mexico over the last few days than I do in the USA in months. That’s the best explanation of cause that I can come up with!
For what it’s worth I use Don Hume leather thumb break holsters for both my 19G5 and 17G5. Not in current high speed/low drag fashion but my love for quality leather runs deep.

Just for grins I put my 23 Gen 5 slide on my G45 frame today. I did not change the ejectors. I had numerous failures to feed which appeared to be magazine related but were not. The Ejector on the G45 was crowding the magazine and causing feed ramp failures. The same mags and ammo ran like a clock in my Gen 5 22. (But when it ran it was very controllable).
I'm not sure how well that would work with the Gen5's heavier slide.
