    I confess that I don't understand why Beretta is sending out the G-SD with 15-round magazines when their superb 17-round factory PVD magazine is available. Cost?

    My understanding is the PVD magazines are 15 rounders, not 17.

    Beretta does have factory 17 round ,smooth finish 92 mags-but they ship with the Italian import 92A1s.The G-SDs are US made.Methinks different logistical channels between BUSA and the Gardone V.T. home office.

    I'm dumb, I always thought that smooth, slick fingerprint-lovin' finish is what we're talking about when we talk about PVD. So the PVD mags are just those standard blue steel 15-rounders?

    Still, it seems they'd be working on moving the 17-rounder to being their standard magazine. Two extra rounds is a good selling point.
