Thread: Shooting incidents in the news.

I believe he was firing over the car at another person who was firing at him. The car was his getaway vehicle at the end of the road.

What struck me was the white lady on the right looked back twice and just kept strolling. She knew something was up, should've listed to her Spidey sense, and should've hauled ass!

Not sure where I saw this posted before but the story was that the department had just installed remote releases in this K9 unit weeks before.
    Lucky timing..

My understanding is Trooper Kedra and those present were attending Glock 21 to Sig P227 transition training.

    RIP

Just an update on this story. The firearms instructor in this incident has retired from the PSP and just plead guilty to five counts of misdemeanor reckless endangerment.

I don't even know what opinion to form on that one; it's just a great big ball of suck all around. what's the max penalty for 5x misdemeanor reckless endangerment.

Yesterday, an FBI agent and a Boston police officer, both assigned to the Boston joint terrorist task force ( JTTF) shot and killed 26-year-old Ussama Rahim, a suspected Islamic State supporter after Raheem pulled a knife and attempted to assault the JTTF Officers.

Rahim have been under surveillance by the JTTF. The incident occurred whenJ TTF officers approached Rahim and attempted to question him outside a CVS drugstore

Follow up on Boston - note that the brother dropped all the recent cliches - the back, can't breathe. The tube said it is on video and the authorities are showing it to community leaders. In my naive opinion, they should release it to all now. Keeping it secret serves no one.

Lady fends off carjackers with .357SIG IN Detroit. A few interesting points. It appears the carjackers actually just ran up open her door and fired two shots in her direction rather than verbally demanding the car. In the story they mention she is now carrying her backup gun, a Caltech 9 mm since you're saying it was seized as evidence. Great job and great example of mindset and Jeff Cooper's concept of "the answer is Wrath".

It's also interesting to note Detroit police chief, a woman on advocate for on citizens recommends people avoid buying gas at night. For those not familiar, gas stations in or near bad neighborhoods more like watering holes on the Serengeti, both are magnets for predators.
