    Armory Craft Upgrades for 365XL

I see a few upgrades for my 365XL. I am wondering what your experience/opinions are on these two possible upgrades:

The first is the extended magazine release.

    https://www.armorycraft.com/product-...h-with-texture

The second is the Wilson Combat grip module.

    https://www.armorycraft.com/product-...l-grip-modules

Is it worth the scratch to get either (or both) of these?

The Wilson grip module can be useful depending on your hand size.

Reliability is the most important attribute in a carry type gun. I would not want an extended mag release on a concealed carry type gun. If I can’t reach the release with the firing thumb I can either break my grip or use my off side thumb. Either way I’d be more concerned about unintentionally popping the mag and having a single shot pistol than about the speed of my reloads.

Personally not a big fan of Armory Craft based on reliability and safety issues with their trigger kits.

I'm a Shield Plus guy who's in the process of switching to a P365XL. I've actually had one experience with the Shield Plus mag slightly unseated when I drew to shoot and I'm sure it was fully seated when I holstered. I think it's easy to get caught up in performance numbers like 1-reload-1 drills at the range, but many times I've reminded myself of what HCM posted: a carry gun is not a range gun.

I think the Wilson grip modules are really nice, and probably worth trying. Grip modules are pretty cheap.

If you'd like an extended magazine release, I prefer the Align Tactical Offset ones (for P365, they also have one for P320) https://www.aligntactical.com/#Produ...664737f96a4a92 because of how it interfaces better with my grip.

It does need to be tested to be sure your holsters and grip don't interfere.

I hate to be the ‘use the search’ guy, but this is covered in the giant 365 thread.

And you got the answers, yes on the Wilson if it fits your hand, probably not an extended mag release.

The only one I have experience with is the Armory Craft extended mag release. The standard P365 release does not work good for me at all. I have to completely break my grip to use it. So, Iinstalled the AC one on my P365XL and it is perfect. It does not stick out much more than the OEM, but the shape is different and it is textured. It dropped right in and works perfect.

I went into the P365XL as a carry gun with the goal of keeping it all stock. However, the mag release was a big nogo for me. I looked at the AC one as well as Grayguns version.

Yes, buy the WC grip if:

You are looking for the option to add the weight kit (1.5 oz) to your grip.

You are looking for a slightly fatter, "rounder" grip with a different perhaps more aggressive texturing.

You are looking for a grip with a slightly longer beavertail.

You are looking for a grip module with a built-in preformed magwell.

I prefer the weighted WC grip when shooting, but the OEM grip for carry.

Personally, I'm a fan of Wilson's modules and
consider them a huge improvement, I run them
on my two XL's and std 365, I'd rather leave the
oem mag release, it works fine but, different strokes
    for different folk's.

I really dig the Wilson module. It is a little chunkier, which I think the 365 needs (I used to think a grip could never be too slim), and maybe more importantly, the texture is really good...sticky where you need it and smoother where you don't.
