So the last two issues are I cant post a poll for some reason and I need an idea of numbers. Ive emailed @LittleLebowski about the issue. Im not sure if its on my end or a forum issue.

The last issue is coating. We havent identified the best coating. It needs to be a coating that is not high heat but is durable. Not having dealt with coatings in the past Im a bit surprised at the cost and minimum fee charges.

I am still interested in at least 2 and probably 3 or 4 per previous posts to give you #, absent a poll.

As far as finishing, bead blasting and parkerizing is probably one of the lowest setup cost / lowest labor options for your fabricator friend to apply Nd it would be a good base if someone wanted to apply air cure cerakote or other low temp coatings.

Sunday prototyping

Check out this design. It fixes a few problems and some issues that were raised. $62 + ship. Nitride coating. No problem maintaining thumb on pad during recoil. It will fit both Shield models 1.0 & 2.0. Its a stock safety with a paddle TIG welded on.
I planned on using the poll function to get numbers but for some reason its not working for me. Ive requested MOD assistance.

The gun in the pics will be for sale with the option of safety already installed. Its only been shot to test the safety so not a lot of rounds through it.
