My F-150 is what used to be called "max tow" and is rated for 11,300, and that means it does a nice job towing 6-7k. A good friend had the Ram EcoDiesel with similar (420fp) torque and it did fine with similar loads. But he replaced it with a gas truck, there were a couple of issues, including one way out of warranty that they still covered, but he was without it for many weeks.
Yeah, pretty sure rolling up to a dealership with a truck for sale with less than 10k on it would be like getting laid in a woman's prison with a handful of pardons.
