Do you carry on your trousers belt?

Living in TX, I seldom wear a coat outdoors (that’s what the hammer cover is for), but it should help keep twigs, dirt & gunk out of the action when I’m out in the brush.

That plus I like the looks[emoji106]

    Hmm, I actually get less.

    Maybe you’re using too much?

I use Rooster Jacket, 1/3 cup per 1,000.

I shot a 30 round group at 7 yards single action and it was not nearly as good.

I do love my GP100, and groups real well at 7 yards.

Well it isn't my GP100, but I took the 10-6 out to try the new VZ grips I got for Christmas.

This is a 30 round group at 7 yards shot DA. 162 gr NOE WC 3.3 gr titegroup.

I also shot some of the 38 SC loads, 125 gr ACME PC bullet over 5 gr true blue. It shot POA/POI at 7 yards.

I had a hard time seeing the sights on this gun.

You did better than I would. A couple Summers ago I was handed a Vaquero and the front blade was practically useless to me, while an equivalent Blackhawk let me roll some cans.

One of the mysteries to me is how handgunners who were 50+ when I was a young guy could successfully use some of the Colt & S&W sights of the day. Now that I have a blue belt in being a senior, I have a hard enough time even with our current state-of-the-art irons.

I am seriously considering sending it out to have real fixed sights added to it.

All I buy is 4" revolvers these days. I'm surprised it took me this long to figure it out. Unfortunately I only have two. I noticed something different when I purchased a 625 JM about 15 years ago. It feels like a good baseball bat that you can hit home runs with.
