    You are correct in how DB and his guys used the car gun. It was a separate gun specifically used that way for only that. A lot of the time it was a SP-101 in 357 for a lot of his guys.

    The Hogue no finger groove grips are probably my favorite GP100 grips. I’ve tried the Compacts that are popular here on PF and did not like them at all.

    JMO, but wait to see how it feels. The new ones are light years ahead of the old staple guns of yore. If you want to respring, a Wolff 12lb hammer is a proven way to go. Leave the return spring alone.
