he's old. he's posting like your mom does on facebook where she says "here's me and my cat" and then three days later there's a picture of your mom with a cat with not text whatsoever.

Rob explained it, it goes with the post immediately above it. But, in fairness, that post also said I couldn't get the pics to upload at that time. And Rob is probably older then me, so nyeh.

    PSA time...

I went out this morning to my Diskit to fix Mrs. UNM1136 one of our early courting dishes, something I have always called Texas Stir Fry. Potatoes, onions, garlic, Polish sausage, maybe some peppers (bell and chile) and stir fry till the edges blacken. Salt, black pepper and barbecue sauce. When in college and really poor I would get some day old sourdough at a local bakery, cube it, and toss it in the wok till toasty, with blackened edges. Bacon pieces optional. So is an over easy or sunny side up egg on the finished plate (HINT).

Anyway, enough side track. As I fired up the disk I saw tall yellow flames. Not small two tone blue ones that I want. Left A LOT of soot on the bottom of the disk, too. Had a similar problem a couple of years ago, and went back to the manufacturer, who is local. Apparently, spiders love the smell of propane. They will infiltrate burners, get into manifolds, tie up supply lines and narrow valves with nests, egg sacs, and webs in general. If you have a compressor, dissassemble your stuff and blow it out. You will be surprised at the crap that flies out of your burner.

This was driven home by a brand new co-worker (trying not to be bitter) who has competed in BBQ, and now travels the country on his spare time to judge BBQ competitions. While trying to fire up his older, propane fired smoker, it blew up! Much facial hair was sacrificed. Leading suspect is spider webs diverting the flow from where he usually lit it, to somewhere it was dangerous.

Blast out your gear once a year, and when not using your gas fired stuff, turn it off at the bottle, and disconnect the hoses. I never disconnect my hoses, because I use my Disk-It 3-5 times a week.
