    Smith and Wesson model 64

This was offered for sale on S&W forum. The seller advised several modifications had been made and included a copy of the invoice with the gun. I really like the front sight .The cost of the modifications with a discount was over $400. I added the Ahrens grips.

The pits would drive me nuts every time I looked at it.

I heard that Fink is now running the 'smithy at Gunsite.

If it were mine, I think I would take pride in resurrecting a worthy base gun, like the patina on the resto-mod cars where they clear coat the original paint. [emoji106]

That looks like an exceptionally well set up gun, particularly with the sights and grip.

My take, too. The pits and bead-blasting just mean you could wear it until it's shiny in good conscience. I bet it is a marvelous working gun.

Pair it with a used chrome Zippo, wearing down to brass at the edges.
