Smoke from the Mosquito Fire blowing into Reno. This fire has been a great lesson in wind patterns as the smoke gets dragged around by wind and pressure patterns. Sometimes it moves directly with the prevailing wind, others it loops around and comes down from the North.
And hopefully I didn't butcher the Twitter embed...

You can take the boy out of Illinois, but not Illinois out of the boy.

    Nice.
Damn son, you were right in my backyard.
At the 9 second mark, when you pan past that trio of ponds, I'm on the big one.

    Wind was screaming today.

    Big Pea Porridge Pond.

Cool, yeah it was. Some gusts felt like 50knots at the top. Once below tree line it was fine.

I pushed it pretty fast today. I head into work at 1500 but I made it home with plenty of time.

I did it in 4hours with only a brief break at the top for some peanut butter crackers.

I've been to the top of Chocorua 3x, 2x from the Piper trail, and once past Champney falls.
Piper can be tough in spring, with the water and ice.
Great views and the chains are pretty cool.

Fast, yeah, no.... I don't do fast anymore 😁😎
