These leftists are like the people who defecate in their room on the floor. They then want to move into your room because it smells better. Of course then they defecate in your room because without the excrement it does not seem like home.

Look at the map of states from the Presidential election. If you live in a red state, you are probably OK. If you are in blue, you are screwed.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.
This is part because the antigun folks have been encourage by SCOTUS - the Heller reasonable restrictions analysis gave a giant opening for banning weapons of war designed only to kill. People praised Heller at first and Scalia as a genius but ...
In later lower court cases, gun type and mag bans have been upheld. SCOTUS didn't take them up despite Scalia and Thomas dissenting. Unless the court gets new justices that support fully gun rights, the state bans will continue - primarily based on urban center populations. Just replacing Scalia is probably not enough as the rest of the court was happy to let the state bans stand by not taking the cases. Even 'conservative' justices can go the Fudd/Metcalf/Zumbo route against the assault rifle/high cap magazines nuts of this world.
I saw it coming at the release of Heller but too many people thought the gun promised land had arrived and all the gun laws were going to fall.
One might also hope that the new administration could pass a law negating all state bans by saying that no state can ban items not banned at the federal level. I think there is constitutional justification for such. But let's see if they do that.
I kinda thought this would be on the way after some of Washington States idiotic rulings on guns lately.
Hang tough guys. President Trump doesn't mean shit if your state is trying to fuck you over. Don't let them.

Let's see if we get any outside help from the NRA or anyone else. We are going to need it.

Hadn't heard of that org before, have they been effective?
Second Amendment Foundation is based in Washington State. I ASSume they are making concerted efforts to block this legislation. All WA residents should be in contact with SFA and support them.
I had a chance to visit Seattle, early last year. Nice town, okay people, decent food. I still got the love affair with the PNW or Seattle in general. It has some obviously biased boundaries and citizenry, as well as smacking of a socialist paradise. Hell, the train ride from Seatac into Seattle was eye-opening to say the least. It's clear to me that their efforts at income equality are failing on a monumental scale. Surprise...surprise.

The massively wealthy financial elites who are crowding ordinary people out of Seattle can afford the high taxes and $15/hr minimum wage they're advocating.
Ironically, when you get outside of the growing cancer, it's some of the best country, with an amazingly good outdoor lifestyle for those who embrace it: hiking, boating, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, etc. Black rifles are popular, but you see a lot of traditional-type hunting guns, including classic woods guns, that are rare in a lot of the country. Some really neat little gun shops with awesomeness stacked densely under the glass, good selections of reloading supplies, etc. It's a shall-issue state for CC, with legal unpermitted OC of handguns (at least last time I was checking). The legacy is most excellent; it's the future that is at risk.
