    Thanks guys! Makes sense to slow down. I guess I just let pride get in the way and didn't want to slow down. I'll try again today and just focus on good slow presses.

    IMO, and speaking for me personally, setting aside the ego is about the hardest thing to do. It's also a necessity for truly developing skill. You are on the right track, just let your progress drive the speed.

    Once I figured out that I can get on trigger almost twice as aggressively as I can with SFA during press-out, my appreciation for TDA jumped. Next jump happened when I realized that sensitivity to trigger-reset is much more telling and instructive than sensitivity to pull-weight alone. Beyond the DA trigger-break, trigger-reset rules the roost in my camp.
