Like most all-night eateries, a look around any Waffle House at about 0130 will tell you how unsuccessful the War on Drugs has been.
    Books. Bikes. Boomsticks.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

Last one I visited was in Nashville, TN a lot of years ago. We were on the way back from Florida where
my mother's funeral was held. It was early morning and everyone in the place was too tired, or too hungry, to make
trouble. I saw no sign about guns.

I thought it had to be "conspicuously posted at all entrances" to be enforceable.

I'm pretty sure that's the wording. But that's pretty loose compared to the strict formatting and posting required by some other states like Texas.

I can scrawl "no guns" with a crayon on an 8 1/2 x 11 and tape it to the doors and I'm good to go.

Having open carried in many Waffle Houses while on the road over the years, I was surprised last year to hear about the "no guns" policy.

When I got home, I looked around my local WH and sure enough, up high on the front window, kind of out of sight is a small sign basically saying "no guns".

I've never been asked to leave and evidently the other places didn't care.
