Curious...why the 19 over the 17 for the high-speed folk?

For concealed carry on ops where uniforms aren't worn.

I'd guess the G19's are for various special operations people headed overseas, or maybe some REMFs with shoulder holsters who want to look badass.

Nah. The M9 is a tougher-looking pistol any day. The G19 is the pistol for people who want to carry less weight around.

A Glock tech showed me a vid of his on his phone of one long burst dumping 100 or 200 rounds from a drum magazine through a compensated G18 at work in Smyrna. Such a job.

When we were hosting the Glock "instructor development" class after the armorer school the rep showed up with a G18, we dumped a case of ammo in like 20 minutes through that thing, had to dunk it in a bucket pf water several times to cool it off.

I've shot them on several occasions and had a chance to do so one handed, two handed, on different drills, etc. Underwhelming gun for real world work, fun to play with, it sure does test your recoil control and stance.
