If it were a 9mm this size we would all be happy? I think I would buy one if it was a 9.

Anyone know of any pictures of the G42 magazine?
Particularly the back of the magazine.
I was wondering if the magazine well is 9mm sized or not. The G25 uses a 9mm sized magazine well and the magazines that hold .380 is smaller front to back and has spacers on it.
If it has a 9mm sized magazine well, it was obviously designed with the intention of making a 9mm version later. If it is exactly .380 sized, it will have to be completely redesigned.
Let me clarify. My smallest pistol is a HK45c. When the time comes for me to buy something that sized I would absolutely consider a 9mm version.
If you wouldn't be interested in a single stack 9 the size of the 42, you probably aren't Glock's target market. Military Arms, again probably not Glock's market for a small .380.
I am frankly delighted by the 42. If it turns out great, we win. If it is a dog, it just costs Mr. Glock some money. Seems like a win/win to me.
Same analysis with the Remington 9mm, the new Sig, the HK striker --- the more the merrier as far as I am concerned.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.
Ugg.
Looks like .380 length magazine well.
Unless there is some extra space inside the well and an insert than can be pulled out in the injection mold, a 9mm would require a different designed frame.
Which likely doesn't mean just a simple RSA/Barrel change for Glock.
Darn.
I wish it had finger grooves.
There, I said it.
My earlier posts have nothing to do with whether the gun makes me happy or sad or whether I'd buy one or not. I wouldn't buy one whether it was a .380 or 9 or a Glock or Smith or HK., but that wasn't my point.
I was speaking from the point of view of a seller, not a buyer.
