Geissele Gas Busting CHs On Sale

I just got an email that Geissele has their charging handles on sale, $40 off. Several people have told me theirs seem to do a good job rerouting gas up and away from the eyes. I ordered several, just an FYI of the deal.

One of their models, I prefer small ears like this: https://geissele.com/airborne-chargi...-56-black.html

Having never used a fancy CH want to verify this basically means "up" and "out to the right" / ejection port side. So for a left-handed shooter this would actually make things worse?

Mine is a PRI GasBuster and not a Geissele but I shoot my suppressed rifle left handed and I don't get any direct gas from this left handed port. I shoot pretty much nose to CH.

That is not to say there is no gas in my face. With this GasBuster CH and the black RTV that I added, I don't get the direct puff of gas against my glasses and my face that I get with say a GI CH. And if I fire several shots with no breeze or movement, my head is pretty much surrounded by gas.

So I'm happy that I have it on the rifle but it's not like it seals the upper up tight. I still get gas BUT not enough to make me tear up and interfere with the next shots.

This is on a BCM upper and a YHM Turbo. No adjustable gas block and lots of back pressure.

ETA: I don't see a separate gas channel on the Geissele, maybe it's just a larger lip as compared to a Government model.

Play that song about the Irish chiropodist. Irish chiropodist? "My Fate Is In Your Hands."

I think that’s how they do it. I figured I’d add RTV if needed.

These are going on a few uppers that currently have plain USGI style CHes. I used to be a BCM CH person, but I have no loyalty.
