Here's how the new compact head looks on an 18350 body. I wanted something smaller than the CD MCH and brighter than the ProTac 1L-AA for summer pocket carry. Need to get some more night time use with it, but I like it so far.

So it’s only “compact” when compared to their own pistol light?

I was interested in this light until the specs release. It's roughly the same length as a TLR-1HL but it's slimmer (which is the most important dimension for me in regards to CCW), doesn't have momentary, and is compatible with their full size heads. That was very appealing to me until I saw the drastic reduction in candela. Everyone expected lower candela, but that big of a reduction compared to the reduction in size is a no-go for myself and a lot of others.

I don’t think “Streamlight out doing the compact Modlite with a new longer TLR7 head” was on anyone’s 2024 bingo card
