Just saw that myself. That’s the variant I have (mine was supposedly a contract overrun that Sig released to the public) and it has been one of my most shot, most proven pistols I’ve ever owned.

Hmmm, I wonder if IDPA matches allow lanyards?

Nope- except possibly if you're shooting it under the Duty Gear Exemption rules in a Tier 1 level match.

New domestic ones can be had with night sights for less. But, not German...

Damn it all. I already have an SP2022, but the cool factor of German + a French police trade is really pulling at me.

None are CA compliant unfortunately, but I'll keep an eye out (I believe only the SP202240BSSCA and SP202240BCA are legal to ship from out of state to an unrelated private party). I would prefer to avoid the hassle of dealing with shipping, compliance paperwork, and the risk of a compliance misunderstanding though (to say nothing of the local $100 FFL transfer fees).

But if the slides/barrels are interchangeable, I might as well get the 9mm locally and buy a .40 upper & mags assuming the serial numbers on the slide & barrel aren't the "serialized" parts requiring FFL.

Not to be an enabler, but it’s a real nice gun. Plus, you already have mags…….

Anyone have experience with SAS Tactical customs out of Kentucky ? Apparently they do RDS cuts for SP2022s.

I have an SP2022 with holsters and mags which has sat idle.

Also recommendations for trigger work ?

Is there anything like a trigger job in a bag for it or just send it to Gray Guns / The SIG Armorer ?

    Tempt me not, foul enabler.
    I'm a "7" compared to most gun-guys, which means I'm a "3" on P-F.

Thanks for the PSA PSA. This gun has been on the low-priority list for a long while, but German-made, French contract, unissued, was too hard to pass up.

The picture is a gun with a 2009 date code. I suppose that will be approximately what ships...from the pictures, I couldn't spot any French markings.

I assume no one here has received one yet...?
