    2024 Alabama State IDPA Championship

Brocks Gap Training Center in Birmingham, Alabama is bringing back the state championship. The last time we had a championship was in 2017. It will be a tier 3 with 12 stages. You can shoot on June 8th or the 9th.

Will any PF members be shooting it? I will be there as staff 🙋.

I no longer have the mojo for a dozen stages but four friends from here are going.
Ridge Crossing, Guntown, MS is not shooting that day because a number of their regulars are going.

That's understandable. Especially in June. It's going to be a little warm.

At a match there June 2017 I passed out on Stage 5 and spent the rest of the day in ER.
Temperature in the 80s, I THOUGHT I was adequately hydrated.

Is there any last minute interest in shooting this match? There might be some sponsored slots available!

Yes but I had to settle for 2nd as I suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Wayne Lemond... Well .... it was mostly at my own hands with a miss on a disappearing swinger, a body hit that was supposed to be a head shot that counted as a miss on the standards stage and then a shoot through hit on a non threat on that bobber target in front of the non threat on the "Fourth Rule " stage on bay 5. If I'd had a PE too I would have "hit for the cycle " on bad stuff happening....

It was a challenging but fun match. That was me as CSO working the standards stage 🙋🏻
