It's surprisingly soft shooting. With the factory 300 gr plated flat point bullets, it's less recoil than US factory new.45ACP 230 FMJs. With the 275 gr JHPs, it feels about the same as 230 gr hardball ammo.
I reload with a 270 gr coated SWC and Titegroup and its a lot of fun to shoot. So much so, that this will be my 2nd .50GI Guncrafter. One for each hand... ha ha ha.

Couple years ago scored this police trade-in Springfield Range Officer Operator 9mm from Recoil gun works for about $500 or so. One of thr very last ones they had because they were showing out of stock right after I placed thr order. It needs a new extractor but otherwise is a great gun and feeds perfectly. Took it out today for some fun. Full-weight 9mm 1911s are fairly soft shooting which my bum wrist is thankful for.
