Is Springfield teasing a 2011?

I'm not seeing anything alarming. Granted I'm not anything other than an interested end user.

I'd guess pretty much any 1911 in 9mm will essentially outlast the owner if the gun has a spring or two changed and isn't fed a diet of 9mm Major ammo. Sear and hammer surfaces will wear out and the thumb safety may also fail as the sear wears but the frame itself will probably be good for years and years.

As Ben Stoeger said in a recent video: Guns don't wear out, they just get forgotten.

I don't have any doubts that this gun will go another 40k.
