Next step done. First rodeo and the dealer has been very patient and helpful. They’re still doing fingerprint cards so off to Martinsburg it all went today. He says they’ve been averaging about 2 weeks or so with using cards. If I do it again, (duh) I’ll prolly do the 3 hour drive to the store with the kiosk. Now to shop for muzzle attachments!

I may or may not have visited Hansohn Brothers three times recently, for…impulse purchases made about 2 days ago.

Yep. This is yet another gateway to spending gobs of cash. I’m not exactly sure how much money this website has cost me over the years, and honestly I don’t care to know either. Lol

Well I got the “Big Email” yesterday. I’m official. 36 days. E-file with old school fingerprint cards. I was hoping for the “inside two weeks” happy story, but I’m sure the cards perhaps dragged it out. We’ve been up past our eyeballs with house build issues, so it likely would have sat collecting dust anyhow. As luck would have it, I can’t pick it up this week, the dealer is not open weekends, 🤷 so looks like Monday.

Decided on the Xeno mount, so I have set ups with both the brake and the A2 style flash hider. I’m going to have them check them all out for alignment, but don’t suspect issues as they’re quality barrels. I have a supply of subs and supers on the shelf, so set there as well. I know I can expect a zero shift with the can installed, but generally should I be GTG with the previous work ups I’ve done with the barrels “pre-can”?

Part of me wishes the fast approvals weren't so fast. I had been planning on buying one, or two suppressors the beginning of this year, and I was prepared to be waiting 9-11 months, like the last one I did on a paper form 4. Then one of my buddies texted me a picture of his two week approval around the beginning of March.

Since that time, I somehow accumulated 11 more suppressors than I started with in January. I've been averaging 2-4 days for approval, two were right at 24 hours. All individual, with electronic prints.

My latest two were certified last Thursday afternoon, approved this morning. But my dealer is closed Monday's, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to pick them up.

4, maybe 5 more and I should be set.

No one likes a quitter, or something like that.

If it makes you feel any better(or worse), efiled Form 4s(with electronic prints) on trusts are still taking months lol. I’ve been told by my NFA dealer they are averaging 60 days* and as I approach that day, I guess I’ll find out lol.

*quoted time is still 8-10 months.
