I guesstimate that I've shot 6 or 7 cases of their 9mm 124 grain ball over the past two years. The local distributor receives two or three shipments per year from Brazil so whatever we get is fairly current production. Burns cleaner, shoots softer, and is less loud than 124 grain Blazer Brass. Don't have chrono data for either load.
My range buddies have seen failures to ignite in Glocks with 4lb (or lighter) striker springs. My springs are OEM and have never had a failure to ignite so far.
That RSO isn't too bright.
The range I shoot at has pallet quantities of ammo, but the brand changes when they get a better deal. No problems with Magtech, Lawman, S&B, or Fiocchi in my 19, Dagger, or 92. That said, you'd have to check lot numbers. The ammo you shot could have been sitting around for two years, or it could have come off the boat last week.

I have noticed a bit of an issue over the last two range sessions with a lot purchased in the last year or so. Over two separate range sessions this week and last week I have had two failures to fire. Both times I've inspected the round and each one has had a typical primer strike without ignition. All rounds have been 9mm 115 FMJ which is my typical range ammo. This is a bit atypical as Magtech has been my go to for almost 6 years now.
I have also experienced hard primers in their 32 S&W Long ammo.
Shot a box of (50) 32 long wadcutters and had 4 dead primers. Definitely not “light strikes”, all had deep hits and failed to ignite on subsequent tries.
About ten years ago, I bought a couple of boxes of Magtech .38 LRN rounds. When I used them in a match, the RO asked if I was using handloads, as they didn't seem to be terribly consistent.
Mox nix zu mir.
Interesting that Ol' Johnny Boy of ASP just had two light primer strikes with 9mm 115 fmj in a frigging HK....now he didn't say they were magtech....but they were probably magtech... Now I like S&B and never had issue I believe they are both CBP owners but magtech made in Brazil?
No issues here. I have shot a fair bit of their .38 spl 158 LSW and some of their .38 spl 130 FMJ RNFP in the last couple months as snubby break in and spare/ reload ammo.
Love their cowboy 240 RNFP .44 spl load. Their 158 FMJ FP .357 mag is fairly warm and made minor divots in steel plate targets that had not been marked by other loads. Bought two cases of the .357 mag when a local police supply store had it on clearance.
Have shot a lot of their 9mm FMJ and .32 Long WC in the past also. The .32 WC was given to me when a friend cleaned out her aunt's house is was several years old. Never had a problem. I bought some of their 22LR 25 grn SV stuff recently but haven't tried it yet. I don't remember what the weight on the 9mm ball was but probably 115. Got it from SGammo several years back when other stuff was scarce and expensive.
