I didn't shoot anything today, but it was hands down the best range trip of my life.

That's pretty awesome.
My boy got upset with me for shooting a balloon at the range. He loves balloons I guess.
-Seconds Count. Misses Don't-
My birthday was a few days ago, and my parents and wife surprised me with a Springfield Garrison 1911. I took it to the range today, along with my 632UC. I live in a 9mm world and rarely shoot .45 anymore. I really enjoyed it— I think it was good for my soul.
Revolver Day again! And more handloads!
Warmed up with some DA from the 617 at 10 yards. The flier at 9'clock was from loosening my grip without realizing it.
After starting with 3.5gn 231 last week, I loaded 25 with 3.8gn and another 25 with 4.0 (max charge). This was the first 5 of the 3.8gn out of the GP.
I shot both loads from the K6, the RP63s and the 686+. 3.8 felt about like Fed GMM and the 4.0 wasn't unpleasant but 3.8 is where I'll max out for the practice loads for these lighter revolvers. For sheer fun and DA trigger work I'll go back to 3.5-3.6gn.
After running 60 MiniMags last Sunday without a hiccup, the 617 was back to giving me fits today. Multiple FTF with Aguila 40gr HV, CCI SV and Norma Tac-22. Fewer with the Norma and most lit off when reloaded with the fp striking a different part of the rim but very few of the CCI SV and Aguila did after the same treatment. The strikes don't look weak so I'm going to have to remember to bring one of my .22 pistols next time to see if it's an ammo or 617 problem.
The top case fired normally the first time around. The others show the result of multiple attempts.
Bad ideas, brilliant execution
My Lord, whatever I done, don't strike me blind for another couple of minutes!
Actually yesterday.

About 100 rounds through the MKII, about 20 rounds through the G44. G44 delivered shotgun patterns at the same distance (15yds), just not satisfying to shoot it, even though it always works. Local buddy is looking for one, and I’m needing a little cash, so I think I’ll send it down the road and stick with the MKII Comp Target, MKII Standard, M18 S&W, and Single Six.
I may have a .22LR pistol problem … The good kind, mostly! At least, they will all be the good kind after the G44 is moved.
Glock Gen 4 17 with irons. 'A's number - 6th out of 39. Most everyone else with optics. Time, what else - can't run. So what. I love that gun and the grip angle. Next time, the SRO Gen 7 17.
Funny, hated the finger groves on the 19 but the 4 Gen 17s fit perfectly. Not having them on Gen 5 is fine with me though. Said this before. I also - horrors - like the Glock sights. The big dot and U are fine with my eyes. However, the three dot night sights on my 26 work also. They are fading though. Thinking about a replacement sometime.
