Hello,
I am told there is a tool that will insert into your barrel and allow you to sight in a optic on your pistol. It is suppose to be in the $250-300 price range. I can not seem to find it. Any info would be helpful.
Thank you, JR

I just use a cheap laser sighter tool I picked up off Amazon, it gets me very close when I validate with livefire. It saves a lot of time and aggravation.
This one, it’s not available anymore but related items are linked to give you an idea: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082HW67XK

A bunch of folks have used the Wheeler product linked below and had great things to say. I’ve recently picked one up for myself and can see how it would pay for itself in saving carry ammo usage to get a zero. The first two pistols I used it on were dead on at 15 yards, no additional clicks necessary.

I've been using a green Wheeler laser which has worked quite well for rds's and scopes. I had used a cheap chamber laser prior to the Wheeler, not as nice a set up but, it sure beat's starting out on a sheet of cardboard.
Hmmm...
With the BUIS aligned, I just adjust the dot until it's centered on the tip of the front sight.
This corresponds to a 25 yard zero.
Then I go to the range and zero it at 10 yards.
A Wheeler laser sighter, a battery tester, and Fix it Sticks are the three essentials for a serious dot shooter. The Wheeler will pay for itself for initial sight in, trouble shooting and ongoing confirming of zero.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.
edit: missed the post above
If you want something a little better than the wheeler, there's the Steiner unit.
I have used this one for some time and it is made in the US and of considerably better build quality it fits into the muzzle so it works on all firearms.

Same here. Inexpensive method of getting pretty damn close.
