Engineering Notice 20240330: Revision 12 Release

MRDS QRCs have been upgraded for 2024 to Revision 12.

1) All 60 QRCs have been reviewed for consistent font and nomenclature, correcting errors and implementing minor cosmetic changes in content and file naming.
2) A *.zip file containing ALL QRCs is now available for download. When uncompressed, it will provide a flat directory containing all QRCs, suitable for departmental or armorer reference, or for anyone who just wants a copy of all QRCs without the effort of downloading them individually. The file is called “MRDS_QRC_Rev12_20240330.zip”, and is located in the “Zip_Files” directory.
3) A blank “Template” QRC file in *.odg format is now available. ODG is an OpenDocument Graphics Document format that contains vector graphics saved using XML formatting specifications. The template file can be used to create new QRCs. The template is called “QRC_Template.odg”, and is located in the “Z_Template” directory.
4) Along with these updates, a new Steiner MPS QRC was created, and the Sig Sauer Romeo X QRC was cloned into separate Romeo X Pro and Romeo X Compact QRCs.
Note: EPS and EPS Carry QRCs were updated recently and were left at Revision 11, but their content is up to date.

All 12 EPS/EPS Carry MRDS QRCs are now upgraded to Revision 12. While I was there, I added the optic window size to the data set on the flip side Card of each one.

Engineering Notice 20240824-01 Vortex Defender XL Quick Reference Card V13 added


A QRC for the Vortex Defender XL at Rev 13 has been added to the Google drive.

At $599 MSRP, the Defender XL is intended for competition/action pistol. It is available in 5 or 8 MOA red dot versions.

Features include: DeltaPoint(r) Pro footprint, 10 brightness settings (2 NV compatible), with motion activation and auto shut off. Battery is a CR2032, installed via a hatch on the top.

The new QRC is located under the "VO" (Vortex) tab from the main directory.

This is an administrative update post:

The *.zip file containing PDFs of all current MRDS QRCs has been refreshed as of 9/18/24 with all the latest updates.

This file is intended for agency or range use, and once downloaded and unpacked, will provide all QRCs in a single directory. You can find this zip file on the "zip" directory.
