So, while I have gotten the stocks and front strap figured out, the factory spur hammer bites a bit, and digs into my side while wearing it. After weighing some options, I decided the the C&S type II hammer looked the sexiest. I also installed the C&S extended single safety.
Dead sexy looking, but all was not well.
This hammer bit me each shot. Three magazines of three rounds each, and I was done. Also, while the C&S safety was very positive, the lever is much shorter than an extended 1911 safety, and even noticeably shorter than the factory MKIII safety lever.
Ergo:
C&S no-bite hammer.....which I should've picked in the first place, but aesthetics and all. Went back with the MKIII safety.
And a happy hand after 91 rounds of 124 grain FMJ and 15-16 rounds of 115 grain Remington left over from qualifications.
My Hi-Power is going to start getting carried again. Now to try out a couple of the Apex magazines.

I found that the BHPSS SFS hammer is also pretty much bite free.
