Nice. I don't remember all of those B-8's but that was 10 years ago and honestly my memory isn't what it used to be. 9.04 Casino drill. Wow! I remember when people were happy to make par on it. Good shooters have come a long way.

I took it in the 1st ever "invitation only" Advanced Instructor Class at the old Rangemaster "mothership" in Memphis in December of 2008- So... what...15 years ago?. The Casino Drill had not even been invented back then. Nor had the 5 yard Roundup. And I don't remember shooting much bulls eye target stuff in that class. It was primarily LE type Qual courses like the LAPD SWAT and the "Model Law Enforcement" course of fire. We also had William Aprill teach a block on gun disarms in case you needed to disarm a student who was being dangerously careless with their muzzle and Gerald Foon taught a block on "Tac Med" material in case of an injury on the range. But again that was the first ever run of it and things have changed since then.

Yeah it was good but PLEASE do not take what I said in any way to downplay the current class. I'm not one of these old curmudgeonly bastards who is all " well back in my day everything was better". It was just different and my class was the first iteration of it and it has grown and developed through the years. Tom doesn't create dogma to be worshipped. If something needs to be tweaked it gets tweaked and if something comes along that better fills a particular training objective he will add it.
I just don't want anyone to think my earlier post was in any way downplaying the current class. I've just been around a long time and the class is not the same as it was 15 years ago.
I didn’t take it that way at all. Classes evolve. I’d be leery of a class that didn’t evolve over time.
I went back and watched those videos with a stop watch. My raw time on the regular drill was 10.24. Times for the 6/7/8 and backwards drills were between 11.5 and 12ish.
