An old school fixed blade knife was needed for an old school Colt, so..

Not to mention an old school holster on an old school woobie.

23 years of shooting 1911s and I get my first magwell.
Nighthawk had a sale around the 4th on their lanyard loop one I couldn't resist.

    Lost River:

Some day when we are in the same zip code, I want to shoot that Commander. I have no idea why I am so enamored with that set up. Very cool!

    03RN:

After I got the first S&A magwell, I never looked back. They are pretty much required equipment on my 1911s. Reloading a 1911 with a mag well on it is like "throwing a hotdog down a hallway" according to one of my more switched on acquaintances. Enjoy!

Watching myself shoot I've noticed a few times where my reload seems to hitch which causes me to glance down involuntarily and then have to require my target. Hopefully this helps.

IIRC, in the origin story of the Cylinder and Slide Trident pistol, the warfighter that helped spec the pistol, fell and landed with his 1911 under him. Turns out the S$A magwell got bent and clamped the magazine into the gun, rendering it to an 8-shot semi

That last couple of pages have had some really nice 1911’s on them, full of character and nice details that take a familiar eye to recognize!

    Thanks for sharing gents!
