-Seconds Count. Misses Don't-
I went over to a monthly rimfire match in Jackson parish with my semi-auto .22 I put together with Kidd parts…except for the charging handle.
I didn’t distinguish my self in term of scoring but had a good time with my semi-auto playing amongst bolt action Anshutz, Bergara and assorted custom bolt guns.
I was shooting Eley Semi-Auto Benchrest Precision ammo and an Arken 6-24X50mm scope, Faxon receiver, Kidd trigger and barrel.

A couple days ago I shot the 870P I recently bought. I also shot a Shield Plus, an M&P9 2.0 Compact, and a full size M&P9 CORE/ACRO.
I shot a Rangemaster drill of the month from earlier in the year, “Cover the Basics “ and Justin Dyal’s “Prep Time “ with each pistol. I’ve not been shooting or carrying my Shields much lately and was surprised how well I did compared to the larger pistols.
STI limited gun build, in .40. Same as last week, same next week. (Insert yawn emoji here).
Shot a local match today with @03RN.
BUG gun match, where you then transition to your match gun.
Shot the Taurus 856 three inch as my bug. The Galloway kit ran fine.
Found out that trying to load wadcutters, from a loader, to unchamfered cylinder mouths doesn't work so much.
Gun ran great, me, not so much.
Used my usual Beretta 92x centurion, modded by LTT, as the other gun.
It ran flawless, and I even did well with it.
If Beretta would build a smaller "compact" 92, I think that it it would sell.
The 92 compact doesn't qualify as a BUG..
"... And miles to go before I sleep".
We both had trouble that first stage. I used my 2" m10 and a round jumped right out after I dropped the speed loader. -5 right off the bat.
Then I had a marked bad mag find it's way into my range bag and tie up my gun in another stage.
Then on the last stage I missed steel on the first part so had to dump my gun then go get them.

It was a double header rimfire weekend for me. Shot a PRS .22 match on Saturday and a NRL22 match on Sunday. Managed to eke out wins on both days! The wind gods were kind to me.
I was shooting a V-22 Vudoo w/ 22” Bartlein barrel in an XLR Envy Pro chassis and a Burris XTR Pro scope.
At the end of the session I did a benchmark drill I haven’t done in a few years.
10 shots at 10 yards untimed.

This is where I started in Dec 2015…
Shot the heavy metal division of a 3-gun match yesterday using my Hardhat treated Les Baer Custom Carry .45ACP, 18.5" Remington Police Magnum 12 ga, and in one string my M1 Garand and then in the second string a 1953 Lee Enfield No. 4 Mk. 2. Had a total blast! I'm very fond of my Garand and I shot it well yesterday. I'm going to have to do that again with the Garand.
