Yeah... Pepperidge farm remembers the gun being tested, and found to function.
The most powerful and harmful influence Trump has had on our politics…has been the effect on his opponents. They have been triggered into an orgy of self-mutilation—eager to amputate their own history and disfigure their own political traditions.

Yeah, and like by a federal agency, not some small town Podunk Sheriff's Office.

No, more likely he'll get off because NM's got some really squared away LEO's but really shitty prosecutors and judges. Being relatively wealthy and popular and connected never hurts either.

There isn't a yuge film industry in NM is there, by chance?

You know that answer already, and I see exactly what you're saying by it

'Yuge' is relative but yes, NM's movie industry has been expanding quite rapidly since 2005 or so.
Most of Longmire was filmed here in NM, among other things.

Coincidence that a former A-list movie star might get an easier go of it here? Maybe, maybe not.

NM's not exactly good at effectively prosecuting or meaningfully convicting violent criminals in general, so call it a coin toss between corruption and ineptitude.

Alec Baldwin first claimed that he did not pull the trigger month after the shooting.

My guess is that if the gun did go off without him pulling the trigger he would have been screaming it on set after the shooting and many witnesses on set would have remembered it.

I was present at a Massad Ayoob LFI-2 class in 1986 when a Spas-12 shotgun discharged downrange when the user either engaged or disengaged the safety. The shooter was shocked and everyone on the range was aware what happened.

I know it's DailyMail, but there was a an article with a blurb in it where they said that the gun had been modified:

Having been involved in some reviews on whether a gun did/did not go off "on its own" for lawsuits, I'd really like to see the information and reports between the first one that said "There's now way this gun could have gone off without pulling the trigger," and this new report.

Yeah, I knew the answer. My brother lives there and worked in the bidness for awhile.

My impression is the politics are pretty liberal, but I don't live there so don't really know.

What I don’t understand is that if they’ve got firearms specialists on these movie sets to make sure the guns are ready for whatever scene they’re about to film then why are they placing blame on the actor? I mean, he’s- or she is there to ensure everything is safe so that stuff like this doesn’t happen even though the reason why Brandon Lee was killed was because something- I don’t know, I think I read about this along time ago where some type of bullet got lodged in the barrel and when they put a blank in behind it- not knowing about there was something in the barrel, that it had enough power to push the projectile out.

Imagine if instead of a gun, the scene called for a lit stick of dynamite to be tossed at the camera- and let's suppose that they got an unintended kaboom with the same results.

Would anyone blame Areck Bardrin for not knowing that he was tossing a real explosive instead of a prop?
