George and Charlie: Our prayers for Astro and both of you.

So very glad you were able to get a vet appointment.

Thanks for the thoughts and helpful suggestions. Visit was inconclusive. Rules out UTI. Liver enzymes elevated at about double normal level. Other blood work OK.

Vet says the elevated liver indicates something is going on. They put her on antibiotics and something to support liver function.

The oddest thing is she has lost her entire vocabulary -- her name, bird, rabbit, coyote, make pee pee -- just a blank look. We verified she can see and hear, so it isn't that.

As much as I've read about Astro, this is upsetting to me, I can imagine how you must feel. Thoughts are with you guys.

Tonight, I share your pain. The only advice I have to give is to hold Astro and give her all the love, pets and scratches you can. In your heart you will know what is right and when.

Prayers out as well. It’s tough. They’re family. Don’t give up on her. (I’m sure you won’t.) we had a German Shorthair that lived three more wonderful years after going totally blind. A bit different, but I guess my point is they obviously have drive. We're their guardians in the end. You’ll do what’s right I’m sure.

    Peace
