Hope other manufactures embrace and support it. Try it for yourself. I let several others shoot from the box and try it and they all walked with the same opinion, “ oh yeah that is def less recoil!”
Thats great to hear, and very promising.

Hopefully the new Shield EZ 'Equalizer' will become a .30SC option; it should hold 18+1.

I am thinking that this is a logical next step, and hope the cartridge supply will get better to feed them. I really do want to see where this path leads.

Ammo prices have dropped considerably and now in the 9mm price range. I think the next SHOT show will be telling on how well this round may do. We need to see manufactures other than Smith to get in the game.

    Gel test coming next week.

I think the rubber will meet the road for .30SC when a dedicated pistol is designed around the cartridge. One thats either smaller/narrower/lighter then 9mm, or of an unusual high capacity (such as using a full double feed magazine ala Steyr GB to get a +4 capacity boost over 9mm.)

Although a 20+1 SIG Macro in .30SC might move the needle.

I think developing a 85gr 'low recoil' .30SC load might also help it out.

Spyder, I think something like that. I am looking for a Shield n no safety locally. I was really taken. Would love a P365 12 round macro grip, as that little bit of extra girth is perfect, and the back straps!

I had a chance to run some ammo through the chronograph today. All loads are about 100fps lower than the manufacture's data. Remington doesn't give a barrel length, but I assume it's four inches, like Federal's and Speer's.

    Five shot average.

Federal American Eagle 100gr FMJ 1156fps Federal list 1250fps

Remington UMC 100gr FMJ 1180fps Remington list 1250fps

Remington HTP 100gr JHP 1126fps Remington list 1230fps

Federal HST 100gr JHP 1160fps Federal list 1250fps

Speer Gold Dot 115gr JHP 1056fps Speer list 1150fps

As I expected from a Shield barrel. I'm guessing they'll perform adequately in gel, but the hype that this cartridge will give you 9mm performance with more ammo on board should be put to rest.

Most 9mm (non +p) is loaded to pretty glacial velocities these days. Energy is not that far off.

    Glock 43 9mm:

    Federal 124gr HST 1138fps = 357 ft/lbs
    Federal 147gr Hydrashok 940fps = 288 ft/lbs
    federal 150gr HST 853fps = 242 ft/lbs
    Hornady 115gr XTP 1124fps = 323 ft/lbs
    Hornady 115gr FTX 1091fps = 304 ft/lbs
    Hornady 147gr XTP 903fps = 266 ft/lbs

    G43 3.4" 9mm standard pressure JHP energy average = 297 ft/lbs

    Shield 30SC
    Federal American Eagle 100gr FMJ 1156fps = 297 ft/lbs
    Remington UMC 100gr FMJ 1180fps = 309 ft/lbs
    Remington HTP 100gr JHP 1126fps = 282 ft/lbs
    Federal HST 100gr JHP 1160fps = 299 ft/lbs
    Speer Gold Dot 115gr JHP 1056fps = 285 ft/lbs

    Shield 3.1" 30 SC energy average = 294 ft/lbs

If Federal wants the .30 Super Carry to succeed and if it's capable of better performance in proper ordnance gelatin, then they should have released proper test results with denim, drywall, and other barriers ten months ago.

Since they haven't, either the results aren't great or Federal didn't even think it was worth the time and effort to fully test and develop the .30 Super Carry to its greatest potential.

At service caliber velocity energy is meaningless. But I’m sure you know that
