It has been awhile since I shot my G17, since I usually train/carry the 19, but I wanted to run my new SME with the full size gun for break in. Love the new holster, and the low ride and tucked butt don't slow me down as much as I thought they would.

I shot the drill cold, and had a bunch of extra time on the 15yd strings. I decided to run the 15yd strings 7 more times, and ran it clean 3 times and -1, via miss, 4 times.

I was feeling ammo rich so I ran this drill twice. First time was on Saturday, and then again last night. Used same equipment for both runs, M&P9 with Blade-Tech holster.

- HK P30 V3 from 5 Shot SME from under a t-shirt
S1: missed 5 shots, had the time to clean up the sight picture but yanked the shots anyway.
S2: smooth sailing, finished in the area of 4.25-4.50
S3: first 3 shots formed an awesome 1 inch group in ~2.75 seconds just north of the card........... got pissed off and missed several shots after that. Thought I should actually put the bumpy things on the gun over the card.
S4: put two rounds right there, but the grease ring did not touch, so close.

All the misses were low - jerked the trigger.

Ran it again today after the Week 72 DotW because I was feeling fast on the 3x5 at 7yd.

All the misses on string 2 (reloads) were due to a change I made in my technique that cost me time because it has to happen on a conscious level for me at this point. So I had three instances in which the target turned away before I could fire my last shot.
The string 3 (10yd) misses were a real disappointment. I dropped two shots on the tenth and final run. I'd been doing a good job of using my time, not rushing, and then on the last exposure bamm! I pulled a Barry Allen. Bad Todd, no cookie.
