Dealer bullshit finally turned me away from buying a new Bronco. $20k over MSRP? FOAD.

I know the drill. Based on a salesman's word (red alert) I ordered up a 2021 Tundra with a deposit. My trade was going to be Bluebook and the new Tundra MSRP, according to him. Turns out when I set down to write the check it was 5% over MSRP and the trade was 5K below BB. My trade wasn't junk either. 2019 4R with 12K on the odo. Online offer was mid BB.
Dealers are going to have to clean up their act or bite the dust. They must think customers can't do the math. I don't know what special sauce they're on. I think they got too fat when they could sell 400 vehicles a month and make 2K, or more, on every one.
